Shopping Trips

Active Care Network runs regular shopping bus services to local shopping centres and specialty stores.

The service is provided in groups, with a bus picking up all clients and taking them to their local shops, where they can spend a few hours browsing and shopping before coming home at a set time.

Our friendly staff will help you load your bags onto the bus and bring them to your front door when you arrive home.

Social Outings

Active Care Network conducts regular social outings and provides transport services so you can meet new people, catch up with friends and family or explore somewhere new all while having a wonderful time!

Our social day trips are group-based outings where you are picked up in the morning and taken to a pre-arranged destination, followed by a venue for lunch and dropped back home in the afternoon.  We go to markets, museums, galleries, shows, on mystery tours and more!

We also conduct premium overnight tours, to destinations a bit further afield!

Our day trips and premium overnight tours are promoted in our quarterly outings calendar. Remember, bookings for social outings start the month before the planned outing. For example, you can book in September for an outing in October.

You can also book with us to take you to and from any social activity or event you have organised. Our drivers can drop you to and pick you up from:

  • a friend or family member’s place, local café, or restaurant for a catch-up
  • your personal fitness and sports programs like the gym, yoga, aerobics, pilates, tai chi, or meditation groups
  • a concert, performance, or rehearsals
  • school performances and open days
  • local galleries, cinema or theatre, the library, senior’s club, bridge group, bible study, Probus, U3A, bingo, The Men's Shed, neighbourhood centre, gardening club and more
  • events and functions like festivals, sports events, the races, weddings, funerals, Christmas party, the markets, exhibitions
  • regular activities like giving blood, volunteering, music lessons, art and craft groups, the gym, workshops, and classes
  • residential care or nursing homes to visit loved ones
  • anywhere you need to go to keep connected and enjoying your social life!
